hey guys,
i just went fishing in lostock dam for the second time but this time didn't get anything. I was using a surface lure and a medium-diver. (previously caught 3 on the diver).
Has anyone fished there before and know about any good snags where the fish hang-out? (i don't have a boat)
cheers

havent fished lostock for a long time mate, there arre some nice fish there but it seems to be one of those dams that can be a bit hit and miss.

Yeah, like most fishing, sometimes there's fish sometimes there isn't.

I got a great spot there last session at the end of march resulted in 30 odd between me and a mate. Id tell you but id lose my spot lets just say alot of people fish it and dont know how to work the area. I had most my luck on a 3b scum dog sinking stick bait. Largest for the day was 35cm id gladly post a pic but im on my phone.

lol some how i dont think they will give that spot away timandson lol,
as i know i wouldn't tell no one, as i have a bass spot in the hunter river and we have caught fish there well over the 40cm mark, and a lot of em, but the thing is i catch n release all my bass then i leave it for about a week cause they do get lure shy,,
and we took a guy there one day, and he said we wont tell no one,, and then one day i went there and he had 2 of his mates there and caught heaps of bass and killed them all,, so my lesson is i will never tell no one and never take no one there,, so i dont think these guys will give away there spots
cheers neil

i must say,
bass fishing has got to be one of my all time favourite kinds of fishing, but i have not done it in the last couple of years due to alot of salt water fishing, but i will be going out this summer,
i like using surface lures in those hot stinking nights and a full moon,
cheers neil

Cheers guys,
I understand doc, I didn't mean your personal spot anyway. I also enjoy a good day of catch and release.
Cheers
