hi as i was cleaning out my canister filter today (eheim professionel 2 2028) i need to get so filter pads so i clean off the old one and was about to put it back in and then i drop it on to a box of aquis filter pads (1200) that i had out when i was clean that filter and lord behold it was the same size the fine pad and the coarse are the same size pads and they fit so why pay $28.50 for the eheim when u can only pay i think it is only $5.95 for a 2 pack hell it works for me lol yanke

yeh i dont know anyone that would buy genuine eheim filter pads. dean is right. even $3 each is an absolute joke! $1.20 a meter and you will get about 8-10 pads from it.

mate i havn't had the opportunity to use it yet, but i suspect a few local fish shops are onto the same source

Spotlight sells the inner stuff for doonas. Its filter wool bascically which is what i use. You get 3 thick sheets the size of a queen bed for about $15 bucks. Its always there just hard to find in there as its as organised as a brothal.
