got a few quick snaps of my 18cm+ male fossorochromis rostratus that dean has kindly been growing up for me while i sorted my tank out. this is no where near full colouration. im in the process of trying to find an adult female while the two juvies i have are growing. i love the royal blue tail and the deep red dorsal fin. he is going to be spectacular when i finally find him worthy of displaying to. hope you like.

He has got better in a week, heaps more colour. He would eat most stuff here, loved snall crickets and roaches. Flake was a clear winner though.
Is he still dancing?

not so much dancing, more like fighting. the fosso, large male pheno and the wild caught frontosa are all in a bit of a power struggle to get dominance in the tank. been very entertaining to watch. you can see a scratch under his chin and the colour missing on the top of his nose in the photos, this in where the frontosa grabbed the fosso around the head. he was eyes deep in the fronts mouth. haha

bit of an update on these guys. the male from the original post got pretty sick and unfortunately had to be euthanized. i did manage to track down another small male. he has put on about 4cm in the last 3 months with a current total length or around 11cm. here are a few pics of him starting to display to his female.
