Scientific Name: Amphilophus Festae Common Name: Red Terror, Cichlasoma Festae Size: Male-40cm Female 30cm Location: Ecuador, Peru, Rio Tumbes Care: Ph: 7.0-8.0 Temp: 26-29 deg C Breeding: Very difficult to pair off. It is recommended to allow them to pair off when they are fry. If trying to introduce when they are sub-adult/adults, insure female is smaller than male as females are known to be more aggressive and can easily harm larger males. Notes: Known for its stunning looks and aggressive behaviour. Festae are a very inteligent fish and I have found my male to have loads of personality. Very hard fish to find tank mates for, if you would like them in a community tank you would be best to them with other large South Americans in a large tank and introduce all fish when they are still small.
