put wood in and peat moss will do it

Just tested the water ph 8:2 Nitrate 0 Nitrite 0 Ammonia 0 So all is good replaced gravel today with coral sand

what fish are u putting in there if it is African u don't want to lower the ph but if it is American u want to bring it down to about 6.8-7.4 yanke

Got Africans when I changed to coral sand today and Cleaned out tank done 80% water change got it all done filled up got water back to temp put the fish back in and noticed some of my fish where having like FitZ and I thought everything was through the roof but done water test and everything. Good so don't know y they where doing this
They are all juvies

Hi Paul,
It is most likely stress from doing such a large water change. I only do 30 to 40%. maximum water changes.
Coral sand is good for african's as it increases the ph.
