this is my 3.5" setup (this tank is as old as the hills it was my grand dads, so the glass is really scratched) these pics were taken just after i moved house which is why the water looks cloudy and the fish are scared I'll take some more pics next week when i get my camera back occupants: 4 firemouths and 5 sailfin mollys (only 1 male though) the reason i went for this look is because i read that a firemouth biotype has fine gravel and lots of tree roots. i got most of the decore when i was on a road trip over the snowy mountains and south coast most of the wood was collected from an uprooted tree in the snowys and the gravel was collected from a remote beach on the south coast i gotta say i'm pretty happy with the outcome, the firemouths are always digging and darting between the bits of wood you'll also notice my sad attempt at getting java fern to stick to the driftwood which doesnt seem to be working

I second the comment, where did you get the wood from?

a big ol tree fell over mt kosiosko national park and i happened to drive past a few years later and tear chuncks off the exposed roots. i could have got heaps more. i'm thinking of doing another scavenger hunt through barrington next time i visit the folks, for the purpose of selling on here.

hydrogen peroxide in a bucket and douse all the affected area. leave 5 mins and rinse well before adding back to the tank.
