Heya, I am sick of paying heaps for the wild bird powder mix stuff at the supermarket for my pair of Lorikeets, does anyone have a recipe to mix up your own that is good??? Saw a few on google, just after sometihng tried and proven... I also give them fruit pieces and apricot nectar, any other good foods for lorikeets? Thanks in advance Craig

When I use to work at Blackbutt Reserve we use to make up a Nectare using Hot water, Molasses and Honey. Also made up a poridge mix using cake, Blended fruit salad and yogohurt.

Sounds good, thanks. They love fruit and the apricot nectar.
I picked some bunches of some native blossoms like banksia flowers with heaps of pollen, saw heaps of native birds feeding on them and they seem to love the pollen etc, ripped them to bits.
