i'm looking for another line to cross with mine though, from what i understand wild endlers don't breed true like our line bred ones, which is what i hope to replicate one day

I have always kept many males to keep genetic diversity up, even in the numbers I am keeping there is some diversity of colours, sizes of patches etc. when these fry get up to some size I'd love to do a photo shoot of all the colour patterns in my colony. Although similar each has it's own fingerprint so to speak. Also tail colour is variable.
I would think crossing 2 lines even being endlers would still be classed as hybridization and be counterproductive to the hard work of the purists trying to keep the lines as pure as possible.
They are also a fish that has a threatened wild population so what we have is all we are going to get.
