Scientific Name: Common Name: Size: Location: Care: Breeding: Notes: Female seemed to initiate spawning and they bred vertically against the side of an internal filter. Female did alot of chasing to the point the male was held up in the corner. Strange ,strange fish behaviour.

that photo looks like a Iodotropheus Sprengerae `rusty cichlid'.

the placement of colours is very alike rusties, body shape is more squat where rusties have more elongate bodies, colours are also very far apart, the tropheops have a yellow orange body colour with a pale blue, where rusties have chocolate with purple

just had a look through a few Ad konings books and found these guys in there. he calls them Tropheus sp 'red cheek' - Maingano Island

yeh red face mac is more then likely their retail name or a name someone has given them after exportation.
