Didnt fish for the whole 3 days had to cut it short and leave late Saturday night because of the weather. First some piccies of the area. Where the Aliens landed.... A wet section among the grass in a nice neat oval shape. Across the swamp, watching the fog roll in. Polblue creek in the swamp. Polblue Creek leaving the swamp. Manning River. Cool Tree on the Manning. There were plenty of fish about in the areas we fished and there seemed to be 3 distinct sizes in each creek/river. Stocking, natural recruitment? There was no insect hatch while we were there and it was cool and overcast. There were plenty of small Yellow moths about on the plateau so anything yellow got the attention, i think the star performer was a small Yellow hopper at Polblue they wouldnt touch the other hoppers i had. Stimulators also worked well as did AP flash nymphs, coachmans, my pink tags and wolff's fished wet in the river, couldnt get them to come up to a dry. Also note all but 1 fish came from the fast riffles in shallow water just off the bubble line. Possibly because the water was a little turbid and they were chasing oxy? The amount of discarded fishing line suprised me as did the number of set line fisherman.

Nice to see you got some Dean! There are better fish in there but usually you have to walk a bit to get into them. A 4wd helps too (ive been told as I dont have one ). Having said this I pulled a rainbow over a kilo out of pol blue last season. Didnt she go bezerk in that little creek! Aaron
