Gday Macavity, love you collection and your german shepard. that 19 yr old fig is nice, im interested in that conifer in the top right hand of the photo, is it Juniperis squamata??? Ive started chopping and wiring some plants so ill get some snap shot and update tonight. @ Aaron, i have a few sp. of plants i want to get so ill shoot a pm thru when ive finished my list

most species you should be able to find in local gardens and spring is the perfect time to take cuttings.

Well... im at the stage im going to just grow them out myself. As omeone that owned a nursery i have a rough idea of what i can sell them for in Syd. Dude sort your s hit and come and get some.

Yer we're still halfway settled in. When im in newy next ill give you a bell. Anywho..... These are the two figs i hacked, let green up and hacked again lol. Here's 2 Juniperis Squamata with a truck load of potential: Shimpaku, showing its form after a light trim: Dwarf Mountain Pine: Japanese Maple: My first attempt at wiring, some sort of conifer [I.d would be great] its not fully chopped as im still un sure on how i wanna finish it. ''Wind swept'' Huge f*ck off piece of driftwood [3-4kg] i got from my mates nursery: And other random bits laying about:

There is a nice weeping fig at mums that has fallen over and is growing some cool looking roots she doesnt want it and you should be able to get a heap of cuttings from it. Ill try and pot some up for you in the next few weeks.

Thanks a bunch Dean, ill have to get your number again so i can ring ahead and come into get them. Just hit a load of driftwood with lime sulfur and they have come up bone white and look awesome pics later on tonight

Not off the top of my head but a little research and i should be able to find some, im keen on a yamadori trip. Figs are great trees to start on, you literally cant kill them, trust me ive tried.
